I am a 64 year old lady with breast cancer. Both my mother then my sister both died from it. Mother at 50 and then my sister when she was 37! As I live in Australia I had never heard of Brenda until I saw her book, get better not bitter. The title grabbed me and quickly read the book. I then sent to the States to buy her other book. Brenda's books and DVD inspired me. Until then I had been sitting back and doing nothing to help myself. (Subconsciously thinking I was sitting back waiting to meet my Saviour.) While I am much older than Brenda and obviously without as much energy and enthusiasm for life, I started to get more of my life together.
Now, just today I found this website and discovered Brenda has had another fight with cancer. I am devastated. I am thinking why bother trying to help myself, when Brenda did all the right things - diet, exercise, positive thinking +++ - and hers has returned, what chance do I have. The only thing that I am doing right that perhaps Brenda hasn't has been to reduce the stress out of my life. Doing all she is doing must be stressful not only for herself but for the whole family. Although a high energy temperament person can do wonders with apparent no effort, so perhaps that is her situation.
Having had both breasts removed obviously she didn't get another breast cancer, so would be interested in knowing where it hit this time and how long ago did this happen?
